| Description: | The Business Development (BD) Officer works as a member of the BD Team with the Program staff, Finance staff, and consultants to ensure successful preparation and submission of IMA�s proposals. The BD Officer will manage both prime and sub proposal opportunities, serving either as a leader or team member. This includes leading pre-bid preparation, proposal development, and transition to the Program staff for implementation. In addition, the BD Officer will regularly communicate with Program and Technical staff, facilitate the development of an opportunity pipeline, track the results of ongoing projects, and monitor activities of competitors, partners, and donors. Responsibilities will also include the development and refinement of BD processes, tools, and templates and mentoring others in IMA�s BD processes and specific proposal roles. Additionally, the BD Officer will support marketing material development and serve as a representative of IMA at external events, partner meetings, and other international health and development forums.

| Duties: | Essential Functions:
1. Support efforts for IMA to maximize competitiveness through pre‐bid preparation, partner formation, and presentation of compelling proposals.
2. Liaise with other IMA departments to engage programmatic and technical experts.
3. Collect, analyze, maintain and present information about donors, partners, and competitors to assist in informed bid decisions.
4. Monitor near- and far- term identified business opportunities for target regions.
5. Synthesize input for and facilitate bid and no-bid decisions.
6. Support liaison with prime organizations and partner negotiations.
7. Develop proposal writing outlines, calendars and manage teams to deliver on-time results.
8. Coordinate, manage, and/or write sections of proposals; serve as a team member supporting any required aspect.
9. Support review and editing of cost documents.
10. Manage production of proposal submissions to ensure quality, responsiveness to donor requirements, and on-time delivery of all documents.
11. Nurture proposal team working relationships.
12. Coordinate, facilitate, and document internal proposal debriefs.
13. Facilitate transition of awarded projects to implementation team.
14. Develop and maintain marketing materials including briefs, capacity statements, one- pagers, and other needed promotional materials.
15. Develop, support, and initiate new and existing processes related to the BD portfolio.
16. Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and other venues as applicable to enhance and maintain IMA visibility.

| Qualifications: | Qualifications:
1. MPH, advanced degree in international development or related field preferred..
2. Three+ years combined proposal/grant writing and program management experience in international development.
3. Hands-on proposal management experience including coordination, technical writing and editing, partnership development, recruitment, and budget preparation.
4. Demonstrated success in securing funds from USG donors (USAID, CDC, OFDA ), other international donors (DFID, World Bank), and foundations.
5. In-depth knowledge of USG donor and other international donor regulations and requirements.
6. Understanding of global health priorities and development approaches.
7. Proactive and able to self‐manage, multi‐task, and prioritize in a faced-paced environment.
8. Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
9. Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and decision making skills.
10. Experienced in intelligence gathering and market research.
11. Proficient in MS Office and online resources.
12. Ability to travel.
