Description:In coordination with IMA World Health field and headquarters staff, the incumbent will work to obtain funding to support IMA World Health�s overall mission and goals. Responsibilities will include research and identification of new funding opportunities, managing preparation and submission of funder/donor reports, coordination of donor database and outreach to all individual donors, tracking of contributions and coordination of tracking for IMA World Health�s bi-annual Board of Directors meetings and cultivating relationships with major donors.

Duties:Priority Functions:
� Increase unrestricted donations through a combination of major donor, print, email and social media appeals.
� Identify, cultivate and solidify relationships with prospective major donors through regular communication. The incumbent is equally comfortable making face-to-face visits and periodic phone calls as well as email communication.
� Manage donor database for individual, foundation and corporate giving (unrestricted and restricted), including leadership in organizing department campaigns and annual end of year appeal.
� Arrange for donor solicitation meetings for relevant IMA staff, including the President & CEO and Senior Communications Officer. Prepare briefing documents for donor visits and ensure proper follow-up.
� Research new fundraising opportunities and make recommendations to Senior Communications Officer.

Essential Functions:
� Assist Senior Communications Officer by preparing individual donor fundraising calendar and campaign development.
� Handle processing of gifts and reporting in Raiser�s Edge database.
� Assist Supervisor with event planning, coordination and follow up
� Participate in networking opportunities, such as working groups, task teams and conferences, to help position IMA for future opportunities.
� Assist in drafting required reports for Resource Development activities, including progress reports for Board meetings, monthly internal updates of the status of Resource Development initiatives, required business activity progress reports for funders/donors, entities (state registrations, etc) and any other relevant reports and documentation that may be requested or required.
� Participate in weekly Resource Development Team meetings.
Qualifications:1. Bachelor�s degree required, master�s degree preferred in international development, public health, or related field; with a certificate or specialization in fundraising.
2. Two to four years of fundraising experience with a nonprofit organization. Familiarity with foundation and corporate funding mechanisms.
3. Excellent conceptualization, writing and editing skills.
4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and work within tight deadlines.
5. Excellent computer skills. Knowledge of Raiser�s Edge fundraising software preferred. Excellent analytic skills and ability to present data and reports in a user-friendly way.
6. Ability to work on a team and across cultures. Attention to detail.
7. Understanding of and appreciation for IMA World Health�s mission and the capacity to project the unique aims and value of the organization to perspective audiences.
