| Description: | IMA World Health is currently seeking a Finance & Administration Officer to support an anticipated USAID funded project, Systems for Health. The Finance & Administration Officer is accountable for in country direction and oversight of all finance and grants management aspects of the program. |
| Duties: | � Provide financial management for all aspects of the program. Supervise finance and grants management teams to ensure timely, quality, and accurate financial reports and practices.
� Provide financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to HQ on budget expenditures;
� Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year.
� Obtain approvals from donor and HQ for all procurements and sub-grants which require restricted funds. Ensure optimum monitoring of all sub grants; guiding finance, grants, and program staff to address any financial issues identified.
� Mentor and build the capacity of local staff.
� Maintain updated information regarding U.S. Government grants and USAID reporting requirements and financial restrictions.
� Oversee annual financial audits of IMA/Ghana program as well as ensuring that sub grantees comply with all audit and financial review requirements.
� Organize finance and administration training, capacity building and close follow-up of local partners.
� Provide oversight of project administration and HR management support in country.
� Assist in program development and proposal preparation as needed.

| Qualifications: | � 8 + years� experience in international finance/accounting.
� 5+ years of international supervisory experience.
� Strong management, communication, mentoring and team building skills.
� Strong Excel skills, proficient in MS Word and Outlook.
� Experience in developing countries, Ghana and/or Africa in particular.
� Experience in grants management.
� Familiarity with social system strengthening mechanisms, HIV-AIDS and palliative care public health interventions.
� Proven experience with USAID-funded projects and knowledge of USAID ethics, rules & regulations.
� Fluent in English, written and spoken.
