Description:Will work closely with Health Promotion/BCC Specialist and Media/Design Specialist, as well as, developing partnerships with the applicable government ministries, stakeholders and local media outlets.
Duties:Responsible for providing technical advice and support to the Partnership Communication Theme, and develop and implement the Public Diplomacy Plan (covering both communication/visibility) for the AIPMNH. This will include conducting stakeholder analyses and brainstorming sessions for staff to identify and agree upon the project’s key stakeholders, target audiences, messages, preferred spokespersons, and priority outreach activities. In addition, the position will be responsible for developing project communications and a public relations strategy, ensuring proposed activities and outreach are within budget parameters, tasks and time frames are clearly designated among project staff, and activities closely align with milestones and anticipated results in the work plan.
Qualifications:(A) Essential:
• Post-graduate qualifications communications, public relations, media studies, or journalism;
• Significant experience working on donor-funded projects in Communications, Advocacy and Media or Public Relations;
• Understanding of health care systems and delivery and improving population health in a low income/developing country settings;
• Demonstrated ability to engage with and build relationships with government agencies as well as understanding of cross-cutting issues;
• Track record in working effectively with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds and excellent interpersonal communication and report writing skills;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and fluency in English;
• Familiarity with Indonesian government regulations and systems; and
• Proficiency in English language.

(B) Preferable:
• Indonesian language;
• Previous experience working in the Indonesian health sector; and
• An understanding of DFAT policies and cross-cutting issues.
